Fibre ball filter has the characteristics of hydrophilic, non-stick oil, etc. After encountering water, a large number of water molecules will gather on the surface of the fibre filament and a water film will be formed on its surface, which will play a good isolation layer in the middle of oil and fibre ball.

Through backwashing, it can clean the oil on the surface of the fiber ball and has renewable performance.

Working principle of fibre ball filter

Solid suspended matter will accumulate on the surface of the medium and form a filter cake through the process of bridging and filtering to improve the precision of filtration, at the same time, the pore space of the filter material will be reduced, increasing the resistance of filtration.

When the resistance increases to a certain level, the bridging relationship will be impacted by the subsequent suspended particles, and then destroyed, new larger suspended particles will replace the broken bridging relationship, and continue to cut off the suspended matter in the oily sewage.

Comparison of fibre ball filters with other filter media

Walnut shell filter media: strong adsorption capacity, high hardness, abrasion resistance, high filtration capacity, but less effective in the removal of suspended solids from oily wastewater.

Double-layer media filter: strong dirt-holding capacity, relatively simple operation, easy to operate and manage, more suitable in deep sewage treatment.

Quartz sand filter: the most widely used equipment in the oilfield water treatment system at present, due to its simple structure, easy maintenance and convenient operation, has a better effect on sewage treatment.
