The Shallow Sand Filter is composed of one or more standard high-speed filter units. The water flows through the internal water distributor and water collector, using different media, which can effectively remove particles and reduce turbidity. If it is equipped with specific fast materials, it can also adsorb and remove the organic matter, ions, etc. of the corresponding sand speed layer.
When the system is in the filtering state, pressurized water flows into the water distribution system from the inlet of the filter unit and reaches the filter material layer evenly. When water flows through the filter material layer, the suspended matter is intercepted by the filter material. There is a water collector with a precision gap at the bottom of the filter, and the clean water after filtration is evenly collected and flows out of the filter. As impurities accumulate in the filter layer, the pressure loss continues to increase. When the pressure difference increases to a certain set value or reaches the set cleaning time, the system will automatically switch to the backwash state. The pressurized water enters the filter material layer through the water collecting device, and flushes it, so that the trapped pollutants fall off and drain out of the filter system. After backwashing lasts for at least 2 minutes, the valve automatically switches the system to the filtering state.
